Environmental Audit

Environmental regulations are changing constantly. Since failure to comply can result in severe fines, third-party actions, and even criminal liability, many industrial firms have decided to conduct periodic, multi-media environmental compliance audits at their facilities. OMNI works with the client to develop sound planning and a practical approach for their environmental auditing program. OMNI will help the client organize their facility inspections and reviews. OMNI will also provide training, as needed, to improve compliance and implement management objectives.

Transportation Permits

A transportation source permit must be submitted in some states for the construction of open parking lots (including shopping center lots), stadiums/sport arenas, and amusement parks or recreation areas. OMNI can assist in the preparation of the transportation permit application including the traffic analysis/impact on nearby intersections, air quality modeling plan, air dispersion modeling and interaction/negotiation with the applicable regulatory agencies.

Process Safety Management

A process safety management is required by OSHA regulations for many facilities. Lapses in preventive safety procedures can result not only in damage to employees and capital but can result in low worker moral, costly negative publicity, and high dollar personal lawsuits. To prevent this, many firm's have established thorough guidelines and procedures to ensure their worker's safety. OMNI helps the client with their up-to-date process safety management program. We have extensive professional experience in these areas, and we can show you how to achieve safety in a sensible and cost effective manner.

Preliminary Environment Site Assessment

A preliminary Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) is a process that may uncover risks associated with previous ownership and uses of a particular piece of property. Results of a preliminary ESA can educate investors about the environmental condition of a property and can also be an important tool in managing the risks. OMNI can help the client and the investors avoid unwise investment decisions with their comprehensive ESA.

Risk Management Plan 112r

Provisions in section 112r of the Federal Clean Air Act are designed to prevent and minimize the consequences of accidental releases of toxic and flammable gases. The Risk Management Program differs from other Clean Air Act programs because it deals with the prevention of accidental releases rather than ongoing emissions of air pollutants. Simulating an accident and measuring the consequences is unlikely to be feasible for most facilities. Therefore, computer modeling will be required in many cases to assess the off-site consequences of accident scenarios. OMNI can evaluate your current program, prepare an accidental release scenario evaluation, review emergency response procedures and design and implement a risk management plan.
